Program Information
The St.
Chrysostom’s Day School has six programs that are geared to six
different age groups for children ranging in age from 22 months to
4years old. The following is some general information about these
programs broken down by age group. Our programs take place during a
traditional September to June school year.
Parent & Tot - Child must be
22-27 months old by September of the year they
enroll. This class takes place one day a
week (Mon, Tues, Wed or Thurs) from 10:45 to 12:00. The parent remains
in the classroom with the child and participates in class activities.
A total of 36 children are accepted into this program.
Two Day Just Tot – Child must
be 28-31 months old September of the year they
enroll. This class takes place two days a week, on Tuesday & Thursday,
and there is an AM and PM session (AM 9:00-10:30, PM 12:45-2:15). There
is separation time in the beginning of the school year but afterwards
the parent will remain in a room adjacent to the classroom. A total of
twenty-four children are accepted into this program (12 for the AM
session and 12 for the PM session). There is
one teacher and a teacher’s assistant assigned to this program.
Three-Day Just Tot – Child
must be 32-33 months by September of the year
they enroll. The class takes place three days a week, on Mondays,
Wednesdays & Fridays, from 9:00-10:30. There is separation time at the
beginning of the year; afterwards the parent remains in a room adjacent
to the classroom. There is one teacher and a teacher’s assistant
assigned to this program.
Preschool
- Child must be three years old by December 1st
of the year they enroll. This class takes place five days a week
and has an AM session, 9:00-11:30, and a PM session, 12:45-3:15. There
are a total of 72 children accepted into this program (36 for the AM
session and 36 for the PM session). There are four teachers and four
teacher assistants assigned to this program.
Morning Fours – Child must be
four years old by December 1st of the
year they enroll. This class takes place five days a week from
9:00-11:30. A minimum of one year of preschool is preferred for this
class. There are a total of thirty children accepted into this program.
There are three teachers and three teacher assistants assigned to
this program.
Junior Kindergarten – Child
must be four years old by September 1st
of the year they enroll. This class takes place five days a week from
12:45-3:15. A minimum of one year of preschool is preferred. There are a
total of thirty children accepted into this program. There are three
teachers and three teacher assistants assigned to this program.
